After the Miami Dolphins lost in decisive fashion in Week 4 in London, the team fired its head coach and moved on. It’s been two weeks since that, meaning the story line has had its chance to work through the news cycle. Still, when the Dolphins face the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, it’ll be their first game under new leadership. Both teams enter Sunday’s game at 1-3.
Fantasy football advice, Week 6: Who to start/sit for Dolphins vs. Titans
Sunday’s game will be our first chance to see how Miami does under the new coaching staff.
At least both teams come into Sunday largely healthy. Neither team has any of their regular fantasy contributors listed on the weekly injury report.
The Titans will host the Dolphins for Sunday’s game, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. Let’s take a look at the fantasy names to consider:
DOLPHINS
Start ‘em?: There was a lot of forecasting of a big leap forward for Ryan Tannehill this year, but instead he’s seemingly stepped backward, with 15 or fewer fantasy points in three of four games. He’s a mid-to-low QB2 at best. ... The coaching change almost has to help Lamar Miller, but even then, he’s at 18 total fantasy points this year. Let’s see some production before we insert in him into our lineups. ... Jarvis Landry has lived up to expectations more than any other Dolphin so far; he has at least six fantasy points in every game. You’re probably starting him. ... The Dolphins defense has put up negative production in three straight games, but still has strong pedigree.
Sit ‘em: Behind Landry, the other receivers -- Rishard Matthews, Kenny Stills, DeVante Parker -- are all worthy of consideration, but ultimately there are just too many mouths to feed. ... The same could be said for Jordan Cameron who has exactly one fantasy point in each of his last two games. ... Andrew Franks has been hurt as much as anyone by the team’s offensive struggles.
TITANS
Start ‘em?: We’ve seen some big moments from Marcus Mariota, but we’ve seen some struggles, too. He’s not consistent enough to trust. ... We’ll see if Kendall Wright’s mild complaints this week bring him more targets; he’s a flex play with upside. ... Since his 10-point Week 1, Delanie Walker has missed a game due to injury and put up nine total fantasy points otherwise. He has upside but is far from a must-start. ... Ryan Succop is a marginal kicker in a marginal offense. ... The Titans defense is averaging eight fantasy points a game.
Sit ‘em: The Tennessee running game is a mess for fantasy. If you’re using one, it’s Antonio Andrews over Bishop Sankey, but ultimately you should just avoid the group. ... Behind Wright, the other Tennessee receivers -- Dorial Green-Beckham, Justin Hunter, Harry Douglas -- haven’t done a lot.
