Detroit Lions running back Theo Riddick is officially active for Week 6 against the Chicago Bears. Riddick was downgraded on Friday and did not participate in practice, so his availability for Sunday’s matchup is a bit surprising.
Theo Riddick injury update: Lions RB officially active for fantasy owners in Week 6
In a surprise move, Riddick will be in action for the Lions today. We break down the fantasy implications.

Joique Bell is inactive, leaving Ameer Abdullah, Zach Zenner and Riddick all competing for touches in the Lions backfield. Chicago ranks No. 24 in the league in rush yards allowed per game.
Fantasy impact: Riddick offers zero value in the running game, but he is a dangerous receiving threat out of the backfield. Last week he caught 10 passes for 53 yards and a touchdown. He’s up to 30 receptions for the season.
Abdullah only saw seven touches in Week 5, while Zenner was given 10 carries. The Lions offense continues to be completely ineffective overall, as it hasn’t scored more than 17 points over the last four games. The Bears defense could provide a better day, though. Riddick is a decent flex option for full PPR leagues.
