The Green Bay Packers held on to their undefeated record by beating the San Diego Chargers on Sunday afternoon. It was James Starks, not Eddie Lacy, who led the team's backfield for the day. Starks rushed 10 times for 112 yards and one touchdown. He also caught a five-yard touchdown. In comparison, Lacy rushed four times for three yards and caught two passes for 17 yards.
James Starks out-performs Eddie Lacy Week 6, available on most waiver wires
James Starks saw more touches than Eddie Lacy in Week 6. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Starks out-snapped Lacy 30-21 and out-touched him 11-6. When asked about Lacy's status, coach Mike McCarthy simply stated that Starks is playing well and Lacy is still a little "banged up." Lacy has been dealing with an ankle injury he suffered against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2 but appeared to be making progress. It's hard to envision the Packers limiting their second-round talent long term, but Starks appears to have the hot hand heading into the team's bye week.
Fantasy impact: Many, if not all, fantasy owners drafted Lacy in the first round. His start to the season has been largely a disappointment. Starks is a good running back, but Lacy’s size and between-the-tackles burst presents tremendous upside when he’s on the field. It’s likely that Lacy is still dealing with his ankle injury, but Starks’ success is weighing on Lacy owners at this point. Lacy started out the season slow in 2014 before gaining momentum in October. Perhaps the bye week will get Lacy back on track. In the meantime, Starks should be owned in all formats. He’s available in over 80 percent of Yahoo! leagues right now.
