New Orleans Saints tight end Benjamin Watson was tasked with helping to fill the huge void left by Jimmy Graham in 2015. Of course, no tight end on the Saints roster has been able to come close to Graham's production. Through the first five weeks of the season, the 34-year-old Watson was averaging three receptions per game and he had not recorded more than 42 receiving yards in a game. In Week 6, Watson broke out, catching 10 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown on Thursday night. Quarterback Drew Brees targeted Watson 12 times in the win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Benjamin Watson has big Week 6, available on most waiver wires
Benjamin Watson exploded for 127 yards and a score on Thursday. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: It’s hard to say whether or not Brees has found real chemistry with Watson, or if Thursday’s performance was just a fluke. We’re leaning toward the latter. However, it wouldn’t be fair to completely overlook Watson’s performance. He could end up being more of a safety valve for Brees moving forward. That doesn’t necessarily translate into consistent fantasy value, but Watson deserves streaming consideration on a weekly basis until further notice. Watson is available on most waiver wires, but don’t break the bank for him. Watson is worth a stash if you can have him without sacrificing a high waiver priority. He’s at least a TE2 at this point.
