The Kansas City Chiefs did not have their best football player last week with running back Jamaal Charles (knee) out for the season. Without Charles, their running game disappeared against the Minnesota Vikings, a subpar defense.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 7: Charcandrick West gets another chance
Charcandrick West didn’t get off to a hot start for his owners. We break down the fantasy implications.
Heading into the week, running back Charcandrick West was supposed to be the man. While he was first on the team in carries and rushing yards, West putting up nine carries for 33 yards is not exactly awe-inspiring.
This week, the Chiefs get a bad matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. While the Steelers can't stop the pass, they have been a top-five defense against running backs. They are also coming in very hot, allowing just 108 rushing yards combined in their last two games.
Fantasy impact: It’s still a little too tough to count on West this week in a bad matchup at home. He should remain owned in all formats, but the risk is awfully high this week.
