Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant (foot) has officially been ruled out for Week against the New York Giants. The Cowboys previously listed him as doubtful, but he will not play. Bryant was unable to participate in practice any day this week, and had not traveled with the team on Friday.
Dez Bryant injury update: WR out for Cowboys, fantasy owners
The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver was listed as doubtful for Week 7, but has been downgraded to out. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: With Bryant out for at least one more week, the far less talented Terrance Williams continues to hold down the fort as the team's No. 1 receiver. Despite a healthy volume of targets (6.6 per game), the second-year man has been unable to capitalize.
Williams hasn’t topped 50 yards receiving following Week 2 and has only found the end zone once in that span (twice this year) which also include a goose egg in Week 3.
With the Cowboys switching from Brandon Weeden to Matt Cassel at quarterback, there isn't much reason to expect him to come up big this week. Cassel hasn't started a game since Week 3 of the 2014 season. Williams remains a low-upside WR4.
