Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (knee) is listed as questionable for the team’s Week 7 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Ben Roethlisberger injury update: QB questionable for Steelers, fantasy owners
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback is listed as questionable for Week 7. We break down the fantasy implications.
Roethlisberger was a limited participant in practice Wednesday through Friday. While the Steelers have left the slight possibility open of him play, he remains a long shot to take the field this week.
Fantasy spin: Assuming Roethlisberger sits this one out, Landry Jones will get the start. A fourth-round pick from Oklahoma in the 2013 NFL Draft, Jones has never made a regular season start in his professional career.
He saw his first action last week against the Arizona Cardinals after taking over for an injured Michael Vick and impressed the coaching staff with his play.
Roethlisberger completed 8 of 12 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns and had no trouble finding impressive second year receiver Martavis Bryant.
Despite a favorable matchup against the Chiefs, Jones will be a low-end QB2 if he makes the start.
