Miami Dolphins receiver Rishard Matthews was a fantasy football waiver wire darling back in September. He was a top-10 receiver in PPR with his best game coming in Week 3, catching six passes for 113 yards and two scores.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 8: Rishard Matthews coming off a nice game
Rishard Matthews had a big catch last week. Should fantasy owners trust him again?

Matthews did fizzle out for a few weeks, but now he’s surging again with a 75-yard, one-score game last week. He is sitting pretty as a top-20 receiver on the season and his quarterback is coming in with a lot of momentum.
This week, he gets the New England Patriots, who rank as the sixth-easiest matchup for fantasy receivers in PPR formats. What's more, they have been prone to giving up bigger plays on the outside -- Matthews lines up out there while receiver Jarvis Landry is in the slot. The Patriots have also allowed a whopping four touchdowns to receivers in their last two games.
Fantasy impact: Matthews is a solid WR this week even in a road Thursday Night Football game. He’s not exactly a must-start option, but fantasy owners should certainly consider him as a mid-level WR2.
