New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount was supposed to go off last week. The Patriots didn't have Dion Lewis and Blount's touches were supposed to go up against the New York Jets.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 8: LeGarrette Blount coming off disaster week
LeGarrette Blount let a lot of people down last week. We break down the fantasy implications.

Well, Blount managed just -3 yards on his three carries and didn't get anything in the passing game. Fellow running back James White ran the ball for just four yards on his two carries, so it's not like Blount was outplayed by his competition. The Jets have a great defense and the Patriots just decided to count on Tom Brady, which is usually a good idea.
This week, we still don't know if running back Dion Lewis will play. He's likely to be a game-time decision for Thursday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins are a middle-of-the-pack defense against the run, so it should be more balanced with pass:run ratio. Still, last week was just a colossal letdown for Blount.
Fantasy impact: On a short week and with such a massive dud, it’s not easy to start Blount. If you have any better options, it’s probably best to sit him.
