Atlanta Falcons running back Tevin Coleman missed practice this week and will not play against the Houston Texans. Coleman suffered an injury in Week 2 and has been out since.
Tevin Coleman injury update: Devonta Freeman has big fantasy value
Tevin Coleman is out, so we get a lot of Devonta Freeman on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
With Coleman out of the picture, Devonta Freeman busted loose as fantasy football's best running back in Week 3 and has taken over as the starter. He had 30 carries, 14 rushing yards, five catches, 52 receiving yards and three scores in a 39-28 win against the Dallas Cowboys. It'll be the Freeman show again this week.
On the downside, Freeman doesn't get a great matchup. The Texans are the 10th-toughest team for fantasy running backs in PPR leagues. Although, They have only gone up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers in the past two weeks -- two weak running games.
Fantasy impact: The Falcons are one of the best offenses in football and Freeman is going to get his 25-30 touches — probably not 35 again. You have to start him. Coleman isn’t a must-own player.
