The Arizona Cardinals are no longer under the radar. They are 3-0 and have the highest-scoring offense in the NFL. They have a running game, but quarterback Carson Palmer is making a case for MVP.
Fantasy football start/sit: Carson Palmer becoming a must-start fantasy player
Carson Palmer is on fire. We break down the fantasy implications.
In his three games, he's totaled 803 passing yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions on 58-of-88 passes -- good for a 117.8 passer rating. This week, he gets what should be a favorable matchup against the St. Louis Rams.
When it comes to playing the Rams, it’s always about one thing: Protecting the quarterback, which was a problem for the Cardinals in previous years. Now, they have allowed just one sack to open things up for Palmer.
The Rams do have a good pass defense so far with the third-toughest matchup for fantasy quarterbacks. Although, they haven't really been tested thanks to the injury to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger getting hurt last week and Russell Wilson also not on the same page with guys in Week 1.
Fantasy impact: Palmer is now a must-start player. His receivers are top notch and should be able to get open all game.
