Travis Benjamin injury update: WR probable for Browns, fantasy owners
The Cleveland Browns wide receiver is listed as probable for Week 4. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: Benjamin’s emergence onto the fantasy radar is not one that many saw coming. What’s been most impressive is that he’s managed to stay productive through four consecutive weeks despite having a limited role in a underwhelming offense. He’s only been targeted 17 times but has managed to turn those into 10 catches for 249 yards and four touchdowns. The speedy playmaker also returned a punt for a touchdown in Week 2.
While his production can’t be ignored, Benjamin remains an unlikely candidate to keep up his outstanding numbers. The Chargers won’t make things any easier with their defense, which allows the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. While owners should remain hopeful that the Browns find a way to get him more involved, Benjamin should be viewed as a boom-or-bust WR4.
