Houston Texans running back Arian Foster (groin) is listed as questionable for the team’s Week 4 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Foster participated in practice all week on a limited basis and is shaping up as a game-time decision.
Arian Foster injury update: RB questionable for Texans, fantasy owners
The Houston Texans running back is listed as questionable. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: While owners need to have a backup option ready to go, it seems Foster could realistically make his much-anticipated debut this week. While there was a lot of speculation that he had been overworked and past his prime, Foster finished last season with 1,246 yards and eight touchdowns with his second-highest YPC average at 4.8.
If he suits up this week, owners should continue to view him as an elite option, especially against the Falcons. Their defense gives up the most fantasy points to opposing running backs. There is also little concern that his workload would be scaled back. The Texans play in the early afternoon, making it easy for owners too check in on his official status before game time. He’ll be an elite RB1 if active and Alfred Blue would be an upside RB2 play if not.
