Davonta Freeman injury update: RB probable for Falcons, fantasy owners
The Atlanta Falcons running back is listed as probable. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: After two underwhelming games this season, Freeman was finally able to break loose last week against the Dallas Cowboys. He finished with 30 attempts for 141 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, adding five receptions for an additional 52 yards. With rookie Tevin Coleman expected to miss this week as well, Freeman is in for another sizable workload.
The J.J. Watt-led Texans present a much stingier matchup. Their front seven allows the eighth-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs. Last week was Freeman’s second productive fantasy outing and owners should consider his lackluster rookie season and first two games this year before expecting a repeat performance this week. Freeman is a mid-range RB2 play.
