Chris Ivory injury update: RB active for Jets, fantasy owners
The New York Jets running back is listed as probable for Week 4, and has been declared active. We break down the fantasy implications.
New York Jets running back Chris Ivory (quad) is listed as probable for the team's Week 4 matchup against the Miami Dolphins at Wembley Stadium in London. Ivory was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday before being upgraded to a full participant in Thursday and Friday.
Fantasy impact: Ivory burned plenty of fantasy owners last week, being officially listed as active but never actually receiving a carry. That shouldn’t be the case this week after he was able to get in two full and consecutive practices. Through his two games played, Ivory is averaging 17 carries for 74 yards and one touchdown.
Ivory won't have to worry about a particularly tough matchup in the Dolphins. Despite the $114 million addition of Ndamukong Suh, their defense has allowed the 14th-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs. Owners should fire Ivory up as an mid-range RB2 with upside. Most importantly, owners need to set their lineups prior to 9:30 AM ET, when the game starts.
