Arian Foster is finally taking the field Sunday when the Houston Texans face the Atlanta Falcons. Foster was not on the team's inactive list, and his status was confirmed by the Houston Chronicle's Aaron Wilson. Foster has been recovery from groin surgery in early August. His recovery time frame fluctuated constantly in August. His recovery seemed to pick up steam heading into the regular season, quickly becoming a week-by-week situation on the injury report. Foster returning in less than three months was an optimistic projection in August. He's playing in Week 4 -- less than two months from the date of his surgery.
Arian Foster injury update: Texans RB is active, fantasy owners can finally plug him into lineup
Arian Foster is finally taking the field on Sunday. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Foster played in 13 games in 2014, rushing for 1,246 yards and eight touchdowns. He also caught 38 passes for 327 yards and five touchdowns during last season.
Fantasy impact: Fantasy owners drafted Foster midway through their drafts, hoping for his early return. In terms of Foster’s return this week, it’s hard to envision things working out much better for fantasy owners. He’ll be facing a Falcons run defense that has given up the most fantasy points to running backs this season. Of course, there’s a good chance that Foster won’t be given a heavy workload on his first week back. Still, the upside is tremendous. He’s worth starting, even if he isn’t a complete lock as an RB1 in all formats.
