Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray will be back in action for Week 4’s matchup against Washington. He’s officially active today, according to Jeff McLane from The Philadelphia Inquirer.
DeMarco Murray officially active for fantasy owners in Week 4
The Eagles get their highest-paid running back in action again after missing Week 3. We break down the fantasy implications.
There hasn’t been any word from the Eagles about who will get the start, but Murray, Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles will all be in the mix for touches. Mathews rushed for 108 yards on 24 carries last week with Murray sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
Fantasy impact: Sproles was technically the starter for Week 3, which shows you it doesn’t really matter who’s listed as the starter. Owners have been extremely disappointed with Murray’s performance so far in 2015, and after Mathews posted a 100-yard stat line last week, the workload might be more even for Week 4.
Washington is allowing the third-fewest yards per game in 2015. It’s not a great matchup to play any of the Eagles running backs, especially with the uncertainty in workload and the conditions of the field in Washington. Murray will be a flex consideration.
