The Baltimore Ravens managed to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night, but the victory came at a cost. Baltimore's top receiver, Steve Smith Sr., is suffering from fractures in his back that will cost him some time. To make matters worse, receiver Michael Campanaro suffered a herniated disk that will cost him the rest of the season, further diminishing any depth the Ravens have on their roster.
Ravens acquire WR Chris Givens from Rams, worth a waiver look in deeper fantasy leagues
Chris Givens is now a Baltimore Raven. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

As a result of a suddenly thinning roster, the Ravens reached out to the St. Louis Rams and acquired wide receiver Chris Givens for a 2018 seventh-round NFL draft pick on Saturday. Givens offers a deep threat that the Ravens sorely lack. He'll also likely be asked to play an immediate role in the offense with injuries mounting. Of course, whether Givens can maintain a significant workload on Baltimore's offense remains to be seen.
Fantasy impact: Givens is virtually unowned in most fantasy leagues. He was buried on the Rams' depth chart in 2015. He'll likely be atop the Ravens depth chart very quickly. If anything, Givens' presence should help spread out opposing defenses more. Smith's production early in the season simply isn't sustainable without help. Tight end Crockett Gillmore should benefit by Givens opening up the middle of the field a bit more. Givens is worth grabbing as a flier off waivers, but it's very possible he'll be a free agent in your league if you're not willing to sacrifice some waiver priority. It's hard to say if Givens will provide any impact, but there's no denying the Ravens have plenty of work for him if he can handle it.
