With Lance Dunbar potentially dealing with a torn ACL and MCL, it's looking increasingly likely that he'll be out for the remainder of the season. Dunbar leaves a sizable void, particularly in the passing game. The Cowboys are fortunate to have a deep backfield despite a lack of consistent playmakers.
Lance Dunbar likely out for season, Christine Michael deserves serious fantasy waiver consideration
Christine Michael may finally get his shot with Lance Dunbar injured. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Joseph Randle is still likely to see the majority of the workload with Darren McFadden seeing his share of snaps. With Dubar likely out of the picture, there is now room for Christine Michael to work with the Cowboys' roster. Michael was used briefly on Sunday, given just one carry which he failed to gain any positive yardage with.
Cowboys COO Stephen Jones has already expressed the expectation that Michael will step up and play an important role. It could be a slow integration for Michael, but he’ll likely be part of the active roster from here on out. He’s closer than ever to making an impact on the Cowboys’ offense.
Fantasy impact: Michael was always a deep stash in all fantasy formats. He still is. However, Michael finally has a very real shot at proving his abilities and potentially supplanting Randle as the lead running back. We don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves, though.
Randle scored three touchdowns just one week ago. He was sidelined in Week 4 after carelessly reaching out into the end zone for a touchdown after being told not to by coaches. Randle’s apparent of discipline could work in Michael’s favor.
Right now, Michael is owned in less than 10 percent of Yahoo! leagues. We’re merely suggesting that now is as good a time as any to stash him before it’s too late.
