The Buffalo Bills could end up down a pair of running backs when they face the Tennessee Titans in Week 5. Karlos Williams suffered a concussion in Week 4, according to general manager Doug Whaley. Williams started in place of LeSean McCoy, who is dealing with a hamstring injury and could miss a couple more weeks. Williams rushed 18 times for 50 yards, and had a 23-yard touchdown reception.
Karlos Williams suffered concussion, fantasy owners must wait for protocol
Buffalo Bills running back Karlos Williams suffered a concussion in the team’s Week 4 loss. We break down the fantasy implications.

Williams now enters the concussion protocol, which means he is questionable for Week 5. The protocol requires Williams be asymptomatic at rest and after exertion, and pass a contact test at the end of the week. If he passes all those markers, he will be allowed to play on Sunday. If he remains symptomatic, he will sit out Sunday’s game. He is likely going to be listed as questionable later this week and become a game-time decision.
Fantasy impact: If Williams cannot play, Anthony Dixon and Cierre Wood would likely split carries. Neither would be a significant fantasy option. If you were desperate due to a bye week (or owning Williams and/or McCoy), Dixon would likely be the better option as a deep flex.
