If you’re in the daily fantasy sports (DFS) game, you need as many tools as possible to help set your lineup. Sure, there are some things you’ll disagree with, but not acknowledging stats or information is usually a mistake. FanDuel has acquired NumberFire to help on some projections for NFL players for each week to give you another tool to help.
FanDuel Daily Fantasy projections, Week 8: Tight ends
With Rob Gronkowski playing on Thursday, it’s wide open for tight ends in fantasy football daily leagues.

Here are the fantasy projections for Week 8:
Top tier
The usual suspects are at the top and owners will have a tough call choosing between Greg Olsen and Travis Kelce. The Chiefs have a better matchup for tight ends and Kelce is cheaper, but Olsen has the higher upside. Tyler Eifert is also a nice option at $6,000.
Bargains
The best bargain under $6K has to be Martellus Bennett. The Minnesota Vikings are in the bottom seven for TE points allowed, so he's your best cash bet for those wanting to save money. The Detroit Lions are leaning more on tight end Eric Ebron, but the Chiefs are actually first against tight ends. He would be more of a GPP play.
Elite players with sub-par matchups
Fantasy owners should probably avoid Gary Barnidge this week, but the other top-five TEs are all projected to score a bunch.
