If you’re in the daily fantasy sports (DFS) game, you need as many tools as possible to help set your lineup. Sure, there are some things you’ll disagree with, but not acknowledging stats or information is usually a mistake. FanDuel has acquired NumberFire to help on some projections for NFL players for each week to give you another tool to help.
FanDuel Daily Fantasy projections, Week 8: Quarterbacks
Cam Newton has not put up the fantasy value to match his team’s undefeated record. We break down the fantasy projections.

Here are the fantasy projections for Week 8:
Top tier
The Carolina Panthers are on fire because of their defense, but Cam Newton hasn't quite busted loose in fantasy. He has five interceptions in his last two games with two two passing scores -- he has two rushing TDs. This week could be his best game against the Indianapolis Colts. Andy Dalton is off a bye and is another solid play at just $8,100. Philip Rivers let down a lot of people last week, but gets another chance against a vulnerable Baltimore Ravens secondary.
Bargains
If you want to go really cheap, you might want to give Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith a look. He gets a Detroit Lions defense known for giving up big plays and he will get receiver Jeremy Maclin back. New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is also in pat against the Oakland Raiders on the road.
Elite players with sub-par matchups
The Denver Broncos have one of the toughest defenses, so looking to Aaron Rodgers is probably a bad idea. Of course, counting Rodgers out is probably not the smartest move, so he's a play in GPP if you're feeling saucy. Andrew Luck also gets a bad matchup against an aggressive Carolina Panthers defense.
