Every fantasy owner ran to the waiver wire to get Kansas City Chiefs running back Charcandrick West after Jamaal Charles tore his ACL. In the first week, it was disappointing with just 33 rushing yards in his first start.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 8: Charcandrick West gets his best chance
He finally got his season off the ground last week. Can fantasy owners count on him this week?
However, he turned it around last week, rushing for 110 yards, catching two passes for 19 yards and scoring once against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Chiefs need a strong running game in their offense, so expect West to get over 20 touches again.
Assuming he does get those 20 touches, West could turn a bit profit in fantasy against the Detroit Lions, who are the 11th-easiest match for fantasy running backs in PPR. They are also coming in ice cold in their last three games, allowing five rushing touchdowns in that span.
Fantasy impact: If you missed your chance to play West last week, now is your chance to use him. He is a high-end RB2 this week and is way ahead of Knile Davis.
