Everyone left Arizona Cardinals running back Chris Johnson for dead about two months ago. Now, he's sitting as an RB1 in fantasy football and is the lead back on a division-leading team.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 8: Chris Johnson gets the best matchup
The Cleveland Browns are not good. We break down the fantasy implications.
Even with the other backs like Andre Ellington back in the mix, Johnson is coming off a big week with a 122-yard, one-score game against Baltimore Ravens, who are a decent rushing defense. This week, it gets a lot easier with a trip up north to face the Cleveland Browns. The Browns were last in rushing defense last season and they're one of the easiest matchups yet again, sitting as the third-best matchup for fantasy running backs.
This would usually be a no-brainer, but there is talk of Ellington getting more carries this week. Although, that doesn’t really mean too much because he’a averaged just three carries in the past three weeks.
Fantasy impact: At worst, CJ is a RB2, so fantasy owners should rolling him out there this week.
