Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins (shoulder) won't be suiting up for the team's Week 8 match up against the Atlanta Falcons.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins injury update: TE Inactive for Bucanneers, fantasy owners
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end is inactive for Week 8. We break down the fantasy implications.
ASJ was able to participate in practice on a limited basis Wednesday through Friday but the Bucanneers are playing it safe with him.
Fantasy impact: It appears that fantasy owners will have to continue to be patient with the talented sophomore tight end. ASJ gave everyone a peak of the sky-high ceiling that he offers in Week 1 when he finished the game with five receptions for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately, his replacement Brandon Myers doesn't have the skill set to serve as viable replacement with zero touchdowns and no games over 35 yards receiving in his absence.
With Seferian-Jenkins and wide receiver Vincent Jackson out, it likely means an increased workload for wide receiver Mike Evans as well. Owners need to continue hanging on to Seferian-Jenkins as he has the upside to justify the roster spot.
