Fantasy football projections, Week 10: Cardinals-Seahawks featuring Michael Floyd, Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch
We break down the Week 10 matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks.
Arizona Cardinals
Carson Palmer is coming off of the most productive game of his fantasy season. He smoked the Cleveland Browns last week, posting a season-high 374 passing yards and four touchdowns in the game. While the Cardinals aren't among the league's three remaining undefeated teams, they certainly remain a Super Bowl contender. A big win against the Seattle Seahawks would only help solidify the team's position in the NFC West. Palmer will be a key player to watch from a fantasy perspective, in what will be a much tougher test than what he experienced in Week 9.
Palmer's play will likely have a direct impact on the numbers of wide receiver Michael Floyd, who has put together three straight solid efforts and resurrected his fantasy value. Coach Bruce Arians provided strong hints all week that Floyd has basically stolen his job back from teammate John Brown for the time being. It makes sense given he's all of a sudden scoring every week after catching just eight passes in the team's first five games combined. Floyd will of course be in a tough spot in Seattle, but if there's any time to plug him into lineups, it appears that time is now.
Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks face an uphill battle if they plan on staying competitive in their division, and beating the Arizona Cardinals would help make life a little easier. They'll need running back Marshawn Lynch to come up huge in order to come away with a win in Week 10. After missing two games with a hamstring injury earlier this year, Lynch has carried the ball 65 times in the last three weeks. It's obvious his health is back to full strength. The Dallas Cowboys did a good job holding Lynch to just 71 yards two weeks ago, but coming off a bye week should help Beast Mode be in top form in this hugely important game.
Hopefully quarterback Russell Wilson will be, too. He's had a rough year from a fantasy standpoint, though. Wilson has thrown more than one touchdown in a game just once this year. While he does score rushing the ball every so often, that's just not good enough. Add to the paltry offensive numbers the fact he's thrown four picks in the last four games and a matchup against the Cardinals could be disastrous for Wilson. Look at the bright side though, at least it's a home game. Maybe, just maybe, the Seahawks' leader rises to the occasion in a tough contest.
