Alshon Jeffery injury update: WR questionable for Bears, fantasy owners
The Chicago Bears wide receiver is listed as questionable for Week 10. We break down the fantasy implications.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (groin) is listed as questionable for the team's Week 10 matchup against the St. Louis Rams. Jeffery did not participate in practice on Wednesday or Thursday before being partially up graded to a limited participant on Friday. Despite the questionable tag, Jeffery is expected to suit up barring a setback.
Fantasy impact: Although Jeffery has only played four games this year, he's been one of the most productive fantasy assets when healthy. He's averaging 8.25 receptions for 123 yards and 0.5 touchdowns, going over 100 yards receiving in every game played since Week 6. With tight end Martellus Bennett as the only other healthy and reliable receiving option, quarterback Jay Cutler isn't left with any other choice but to target Jeffery early and often. The Rams present a tougher matchup for Jeffery on paper, as their defense allows the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Owners should still fire up Jeffery as a WR1 assuming he's active.
