Teddy Bridgewater injury update: ‘no doubt’ QB suits up for Vikings, fantasy owners
The second-year signal caller is expected to return to action after being forced an early exit in Week 9. We break down the fantasy implications.
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is listed as questionable on the team's injury report.
Bridgewater exited Week 9's victory over the St. Louis Rams after enduring a scary hit from Lamarcus Joyner which forced him into the league's concussion protocol. Despite the hit, Bridgewater returned to the week's first practice session on Wednesday at a limited capacity and participated fully on Thursday and Friday.
Fantasy impact: Bridgewater should be expected to play after being present on the practice field for all three sessions in preparation for Week 10's contest against the Oakland Raiders. Head coach Mike Zimmer declared on Thursday that he has "no doubt" that Bridgewater will take the field, according to Matt Vensel of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Bridgewater has an attractive matchup on Sunday and makes for an intriguing streaming option as a result. But because of the run-based nature of the Vikings offense, Bridgewater’s ceiling is capped and keeps him firmly in QB2 territory.
