The NFC West was supposed to be the Seattle Seahawks' division for years to come. Instead, through nine weeks, the Seahawks have a 4-4 record, while the Arizona Cardinals are 6-2 and holding on to the league's second-biggest point differential. Sunday, they play each other. The outcome of the game will go a long way in deciding whose division it really is.
Fantasy football advice, Week 10: Who to start/sit for Cardinals vs. Seahawks on Sunday night
Has Arizona really overtaken Seattle for NFC West supremacy?
The Cardinals expect to get tight end Darren Fells back from injury for Sunday's game. Wide receiver John Brown is more of a question mark as he deals with a hamstring issue, and will be a game-time decision, while positionmate Larry Fitzgerald is probable with an ankle issue. For Seattle, running back Marshawn Lynch is still expected to play despite jumping onto the injury report late in the week with an abdomen issue.
The Seahawks will host the Cardinals on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET. Here’s a look at the fantasy considerations:
CARDINALS
Start ‘em: You're using Chris Johnson if you have him, which is weird to say in 2015. ... Chandler Catanzaro has been a strong fantasy kicker all year. ... The Cardinals' defense should be strong Sunday, with Seattle's offense struggling much of the year.
Start ‘em?: Against a strong Seattle defense, Carson Palmer carries risk, though he has at least 16 fantasy points in every game all season. ... Seattle could hamper the production for Larry Fitzgerald, John Brown and Michael Floyd, though all three should still be flex options -- pending Brown's health, that is.
Sit ‘em: The re-emergence of Chris Johnson means Andre Ellington and David Johnson can sit comfortably on fantasy benches. ... Darren Fells should return from injury Sunday, though he and Jermaine Gresham both lack much upside.
SEAHAWKS
Start ‘em: Between a rough offensive line and a late-week injury, Marshawn Lynch is a risky RB1, but an RB1 nonetheless. ... Steven Hauschka and the Seahawks' defense have been strong all year.
Start ‘em?: There's not been much upside for Russell Wilson this year. He's averaging 15 fantasy points a game, with only one game of more than 18 fantasy points. ... You're probably still using Jimmy Graham if you have him, and he is averaging almost seven fantasy points a game. It's been disappointing, but not damning.
Sit ‘em: The Seattle receiving corps of Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse and Tyler Lockett just doesn't offer much.
