Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte is officially inactive for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams. Forte sprained his MCL in Week 8 and was listed as questionable heading into Week 10. The Bears are understandably resting their Pro Bowl running back after a significant injury. It helps that rookie running back Jeremy Langford is playing well in Forte's absence. In Week 9, Langford carried the ball 18 times for 72 yards and a touchdown. He also caught three passes for an additional 70 yards. Langford will lead the backfield again against a Rams defense that is 13th in fewest rushing yards allowed to opposing offenses.
Matt Forte injury update: Bears RB inactive Sunday, fantasy owners turn to RB Jeremy Langford another week
Matt Forte will be sidelined another week. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Forte owners couldn't realistically expect him to suit up after just two weeks of recovery from an MCL sprain. If anything, Forte's "questionable" tag in for Week 10 is a reminder that the Bears are taking his injury week by week. Langford owners can plug him in as a RB2 despite his strong Week 9 performance. The Rams will find ways to disrupt any sort of rhythm for the rookie running back. However, Langford owners need to continue taking advantage of his opportunity until Forte returns, which could be as early as Week 11 against the Denver Broncos.
