New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is not practicing Monday, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.
Ryan Fitzpatrick not practicing Monday, fantasy status for Sunday not a concern
The Jets quarterback sat out on Monday after undergoing hand surgery. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fitzpatrick underwent surgery on Friday to repair damaged ligaments in his non-throwing hand, so it would have been a shock to see him back on the practice field so early in the week. It had been reported that Fitzpatrick is not expected to miss any games in wake of his injury, so onlookers can expect to see the Jets’ signal caller back under center later in the week.
Fantasy impact: As long as Fitzpatrick remains on the field, the Jets offense is a functional one. Though Brandon Marshall is less than 100 percent, having Eric Decker step up in the receiving game and Chris Ivory anchoring the running attack has allowed the Jets to produce throughout most of the season.
Fitzpatrick has QB1 upside against the Houston Texans in Week 11, but always presents a relatively low floor. Fantasy owners that love to stream quarterbacks could do much worse than Fitzpatrick on Sunday, but would be advised to wait until Marshall returns to the field before penning him into lineups.
