Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak has confirmed that quarterback Peyton Manning will not play in Week 11. Brock Osweiler will get the start against the Chicago Bears.
Peyton Manning to miss Week 11, Brock Osweiler will be low-level fantasy option
The Broncos have already ruled out Peyton Manning for next week’s game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Aside from the neck surgeries that cost Manning the entire 2011 season, this will be the first game he’s missed in his career. The 39-year-old is dealing with a torn ligament in his foot and also has a rib issue. He got benched during Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, and Kubiak expressed regret at giving him the start.
Manning has struggled this season, throwing 17 interceptions to just nine touchdowns in nine starts.
Fantasy impact: We don’t know how much time Manning will miss, but after Sunday’s horror show and the multiple injuries, fantasy owners can comfortably drop him. Osweiler wasn’t too impressive in relief duty, throwing for just 146 yards on 24 attempts, but he could do better with a full week of practice as the starter.
Regardless, Osweiler is just a low-end QB2 in standard leagues. It’s possible the Broncos will double down on the running game against Chicago’s 25th-ranked run defense.
