Fantasy football waiver wire: Injuries heading into Week 11

Julian Edelman broke his foot. Here are the rest of the fantasy-relevant injuries leading up to Week 11.

Week 10 wasn't too bad with the injuries, which is nice to see after all the carnage in the past month. Perhaps the biggest injury is to Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. However, Manning wasn't even worth starting before, so it's not a bad loss for his fantasy owners.

The biggest injury of the week has to be New England receiver Julian Edelman breaking his foot. He was a WR1 in PPR leagues and had a great schedule going forward. Fantasy owners should be very aggressive in adding Danny Amendola.

Here are the other injuries of note heading into Week 11:

Injuries from Week 10

Quarterback

Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos

What: Foot ligament injury

Analysis: He's probably going to miss time and should be cut in fantasy; Brock Osweiler is worth a look in two-QB leagues.

Landry Jones, Pittsburgh Steelers

What: Ankle sprain

Analysis: Ben Roethlisberger is better off the bench than Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas.

Sam Bradford, Philadelphia Eagles

What: Grade II AC joint sprain in non-throwing shoulder

Analysis: Mark Sanchez is worth a look in two-QB leagues.

Running back

T.J. Yeldon, Jacksonville Jaguars

What: Foot injury, in a walking boot on Monday

Analysis: He is likely going to be out on Thursday; Denard Robinson and Toby Gerhart would likely split touches.

Ryan Mathews, Philadelphia Eagles

What: Concussion

Analysis: He should be considered questionable for Week 11.

Wide receiver

Julian Edelman, New England Patriots

What: Foot surgery, could be out for the year

Analysis: You have to add Danny Amendola.

Allen Hurns, Jacksonville Jaguars

What: Ab injury

Analysis: He could play on Thursday; Marqise Lee would be a speculative add in deep leagues.

Victor Cruz, New York Giants

What: Calf surgery, out for season

Analysis: Dwayne Harris has been pretty good.

Andrew Hawkins, Cleveland Browns

What: Concussion

Analysis: He’s probably out for the year after his second concussion this season.

Justin Hunter, Tennessee Titans

What: Fractured ankle, out for season

Analysis: Hunter had only 22 catches on the season.

Emmanuel Sanders, Denver Broncos

What: Finger injury

Analysis: He should be fine.

* * *

Injuries before Week 9

Quarterback

Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys

What: Broken collarbone, will return this week

Analysis: If he’s out there, pick him up.

Running back

Matt Forte, Chicago Bears

What: MCL injury

Analysis: Jeremy Langford has been on fire.

Carlos Hyde, San Francisco 49ers

What: Foot fracture

Analysis: Could miss more time; Shaun Draughn is the starter and saw 20 touches in his first game with the team.

Eddie Lacy, Green Bay Packers

What: Groin injury

Analysis: James Starks got all the touches last week.

David Cobb, Tennessee Titans

What: Calf injury

Analysis: He could play on Thursday; worth a look in 14-team leagues and hurts Antonio Andrews.

Wide receiver

Leonard Hankerson, Atlanta Falcons

What: Hamstring, week-to-week

Analysis: He could come back this week.

Eddie Royal, Chicago Bears

What: Hamstring strain

Analysis: Suffered the injury in Week 8 and could be back for Week 10.

Kendall Wright, Tennessee Titans

What: MCL sprain

Analysis: Limited in practice, could play this week and is worth a pickup in all PPR leagues.

Vincent Jackson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

What: Knee injury, missed Week 8

Analysis: He should be back for Week 11.

Breshad Perriman, Baltimore Ravens

What: Suffered a setback in pregame warmups in Week 3

Analysis: Kamar Aiken is the last man standing.

Tight end

Larry Donnell, New York Giants

What: Neck strain

Analysis: Did not play in Week 10; means more targets for Dwayne Harris.
