The Eagles will go into Sunday with their backup quarterback under center. We break down the fantasy implications.
Bradford exited Week 10's loss to the Miami Dolphins due to a shoulder injury as well as a concussion. With the Eagles also playing on Thanksgiving, it's fair to wonder if Bradford will be able to start that game on such a short week and while nursing multiple injuries. Mark Sanchez will get the start on Sunday, and it's up in the air who would get the call on Thanksgiving day.
Fantasy impact: Though Sanchez’s penchant for turning the ball over is well-documented, he’s proven capable of moving the ball amid Chip Kelly’s offense in the past, so fantasy owners who have stock in the Eagles offense shouldn’t be too concerned about a dropoff. In fact, through nine games in 2014, Sanchez threw for 2,418 yards while Bradford accumulated 2,297 in nine games in 2015.
On the other side of the argument, Sanchez committed 14 turnovers in that nine-game span in 2014, and there isn’t any reason to believe he’s shaken that tendency. He remains a firm QB2 for Sunday and beyond, but upside remains.
