Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is dealing with a lacerated kidney and is going to miss Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. He is expected to miss a month and could even miss the entire rest of the season.
Andrew Luck fantasy football injury update: Matt Hasselbeck will start
Andrew Luck could be saying goodbye to his fantasy owners.
His initial prognosis was 2-6 weeks, which means best case he can play next week. The Colts are going to look a lot different with Luck out of the lineup and their receivers won't be stretching the field nearly as much. That means receivers like T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief aren't as appealing in fantasy. On the other hand, Andre Johnson had some of his best games with Matt Hasselbeck at quarterback.
Fantasy impact: The Colts actually get a really bad matchup this week for QBs. The Falcons are the No. 2 defense against fantasy QBs on the season, so Hasselbeck isn’t an option in most cases. Johnson and Hilton are lesser options at WR this week.
