Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (groin) is listed as probable for the team’s Week 11 matchup against the San Diego Chargers. Kelce was a full participant in practice throughout the week and is fully expected to suit up on Sunday.
Travis Kelce injury update: TE probable for Chiefs, fantasy owners
The Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end is listed as probable for Week 11. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: While Kelce is an elite athlete that offers sky-high upside, Kansas City’s run-heavy scheme and conservative aerial attack are holding the second-year tight end back from top-shelf production on a consistent basis.
He’s only topped 90 yards receiving once this season back in Week 1, which was also when two of his three touchdowns came.
Since then, he’s been a mid-floor, mid-ceiling option and has only topped 10 standard fantasy points once, in Week 8. He’ll have a favorable matchup to look forward to in the Chargers.
Their defense gives up the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Owners should continue to fire up Kelce as a mid-range, touchdown-dependent TE1.
