Philadelphia Eagles running back Ryan Mathews is officially inactive for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Mathews is dealing with a concussion as well as a shoulder injury. Mathews' absence leaves running backs DeMarco Murray and Darren Sproles handling most of the backfield duties with quarterback Mark Sanchez under center. Mathews didn't practice all week. He'll remain under concussion protocol heading into Week 12, when the Eagles face the Detroit Lions.
Ryan Mathews injury update: Eagles RB inactive for fantasy owners Week 11
Ryan Mathews has been ruled out for Week 11. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Mathews’ absence benefits Murray owners more than anyone else. Mathews has been a touchdown vulture for Murray owners for most of the season. Sproles will see a slight boost, but doesn’t hold much value outside of PPR formats. He is averaging just over four carries a game. He could see that number increase a bit on Sunday, but his usage will likely be as a pass catcher out of the backfield. Sproles can be plugged in as a streaming flex if needed.
