St. Louis Rams quarterback Nick Foles is going to draw the start as the team heads to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals in Week 12, according to beat writer Nick Wagoner. Foles last started in Week 10 against the Chicago Bears.
Nick Foles gets starting job back, still no fantasy value
St. Louis Rams quarterback Nick Foles is going to be back under center for the team in Week 12. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: Case Keenum had been given the nod to start by head coach Jeff Fisher for the team’s Week 11 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, but it appears Keenum is dealing with a concussion and has not yet cleared the league’s protocol.
The fact is that doesn’t really make a difference, because neither quarterback has managed to be a factor in fantasy leagues, deep leagues and two-quarterback formats included. All of the St. Louis Rams’ offense runs through running back Todd Gurley. Wide receiver Tavon Austin sometimes chips in and some value but his numbers are largely dependent on the quarterbacks.
Fantasy owners would be crazy to start either Foles or Keenum on Sunday. Just thank your lucky stars that you’re not Jeff Fisher and that you have a choice to reach outside of St. Louis for a passer.
