The Cincinnati Bengals don't have much to complain about while sitting at 8-2 and atop the AFC North. However, Jeremy Hill has not resembled the breakout runner that he was during the final stretch of the 2014 season.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 12: Jeremy Hill
The Bengals’ early-down back has been enduring a sophomore slump despite the Bengals’ overall success on offense. We break down the fantasy implications.
Though Hill has eight touchdowns to his name, the second-year running back has not surpassed 63 rushing yards in a single game this season, a mark that was set all the way back in Week 1. His ineffectiveness has forced the hands of Hue Jackson and Marvin Lewis to lean more on Giovani Bernard, who adds an element of versatility in the passing game that Hill hasn't provided.
Fantasy impact: Bias from a recent game has caused fantasy owners to plug Hill into their lineups after he scored on two goal-line plunges against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 12, but his recent production isn't cause for trust. Even in a plus-matchup against the St. Louis Rams, Hill's touchdown dependence will always make him a low-floor option in fantasy leagues of all formats.
With bye weeks no longer being a factor, Hill remains a low-end flex option in standard leagues.
