Fantasy owners, especially those in PPR leagues, have loved the contributions from Jarvis Landry in 2015.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 12: Jarvis Landry
The Dolphins’ leading receiver has a favorable matchup on the horizon for Week 12. We break down the fantasy implications.
In PPR scoring formats, Landry boasts one of the highest floors among a position that has high variance. Landry hasn't scored fewer than 10 points in a single game all season, soaking up targets and catches from Ryan Tannehill regardless of matchup. It has made life much easier on fantasy owners if only for the reason of being able to project what they will be getting each week from the second-year wideout.
Fantasy impact: Week 12 doesn't have fantasy owners excited about Landry's floor, however. For once, it's his ceiling that can be raised even against a capable New York Jets defense. Darrelle Revis continues to make his way through the NFL's concussion protocol, and the star cornerback has been ruled out for Sunday according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk. His absence is an immediate upgrade to Landry's fantasy prospects, and the shifty receiver could find himself with more room to run than anticipated.
Landry’s involvement in the passing game puts him in WR2 territory, but fantasy owners shouldn’t be surprised if he puts up WR1 numbers in Week 12.
