Malcom Floyd injury update: WR active for Chargers, fantasy owners
The San Diego Chargers wide receiver is active for Week 12. We break down the fantasy implications.
It’s highly uncommon to see a player return so quickly from such an injury but the 34-year-old is determined to play in what he’s said will be his last season. At significantly less than 100 percent health, he’s at a high risk of re-injuring himself.
Fantasy impact: Even when healthy, Floyd’s production has been typically inconsistent in his usual role as the deep-threat. He’s found the end zone three times, two of which came in Week 8. In his other six games, Floyd has only managed to give owners more than six standard fantasy points twice.
Averaging 2.3 receptions per game, he won’t be much help in PPR formats either. Despite a decent matchup in the Jaguars, Floyd is not a recommended fantasy play.
