San Diego Chargers running back Melvin Gordon has not been all he's hyped up to be. Surprisingly, he's just been the No. 41 running back in PPR leagues on the year and hasn't missed a game. He's also been trending down in recent weeks.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 12: Melvin Gordon stinking it up
Melvin Gordon has not been great for his fantasy owners. We break down the fantasy implications.
In the last six weeks, Gordon managed to average just 12.3 points in PPR leagues. Worse yet, he averaged just 37 rushing yards per game in that span, too. He is clearly behind Danny Woodhead right now and the Chargers are getting away from him as a red-zone threat.
The good news is that he gets a good matchup this week. The Jacksonville Jaguars are the eighth-best matchup for fantasy backs on the season and they haven't really held anyone in check since Week 2.
Fantasy impact: Gordon just can’t be counted on right now. He might not even be a must-own player in 10-team leagues, but most owners should just be benching him.
