New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola (knee) has been downgraded from questionable to out for the team's Week 12 matchup against the Denver Broncos. He did not participate in practice any day this week did not travel with the team to Denver. The decision to keep Amendola in New England was made based on the results of a workout this morning which at least shows that he had an outside shot and will be close to returning in Week 13.
Danny Amendola injury update: WR ruled out for Patriots, fantasy owners
The Patriots wide receiver has been downgraded to out for Week 12. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: With Amendola out for the week, the Patriots are left woefully thin at receiver. Brandon LaFell should operate as the team's top receiver and both Keshawn Martin and Chris Harper should have increased roles as well. While LaFell has settle into a nice little groove over the last three weeks (3.6/78 average), none of the Patriots wide receivers will be trustworthy against Denver's elite defense which allows the fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Even All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski could be in for a long day.
