Marcus Mariota injury update: QB probable for Titans, fantasy owners
The Tennessee Titans quarterback is listed as probable for Week 9. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: After starting the season red-hot, the rookie quarterback came back to earth in his most recent starts. While he's averaging a solid 257.7 yards passing in his last three games, Mariota has also posted a 3:5 touchdown to interception ratio in that span and lost two fumbles. Matchups won't get any better for Mariota than the Saints. Their defense gives up the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Eli Manning torched the unit to the tune of 350 yards passing and six touchdowns in last week's epic shootout against the New York Giants. While owners should stop well short of expecting comparable production to Manning's career game, the Titans will likely have to pass often to keep up with Drew Brees and crew. He's a QB2 with upside.
