DeSean Jackson injury update: WR questionable for Washington, fantasy owners
The Washington wide receiver is listed as questionable for Week 9. We break down the fantasy impact.
Washington wide receiver DeSean Jackson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for the team's Week 9 matchup against the New England Patriots. Jackson was a limited participant in practice throughout the week. Despite the questionable tag, he's fully expected to suit up on Sunday.
Fantasy impact: Jackson will look to make his first catch of the season after sustaining the hamstring injury early in the game in Week 1 before he could get onto the stat sheet. He looks to provide Washington with a much needed boost that it's needed throughout the season. In his first season with Washington, Jackson averaged 3.7 receptions for 77.9 yards per game and found the end zone six times. Many of those targets came with the much more mobile Robert Griffin III under center. Jackson will be an excellent bet to see even more targets with pocket passer Kirk Cousins running the show. He shouldn't have too much trouble against the Patriots, whose defense allows the ninth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. In a game that Washington will have to pass often in to keep up with New England, Jackson is a WR3 with plenty of upside.
