San Francisco 49ers running back Shaun Draughn was signed by the team less than a week before facing the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9. According to Draughn, he was notified he would start for the team shortly before the game on Sunday. Draughn ended up leading the offense with 16 carries for 58 yards and four receptions for 38 yards. Draughn played 44 snaps, while running back Kendall Gaskins saw just 16 snaps. Gaskins was originally expected to fill in for injured running back Carlos Hyde (foot). Running back Pierre Thomas, who was also signed by the team after Hyde's injury, finished with just four snaps. The 49ers will enter their bye week. It's unclear whether or not Hyde will return by Week 11.
Shaun Draughn leads 49ers backfield Week 9, enters waiver wire discussion
Shaun Draughn took over the 49ers backfield with Carlos Hyde sidelined. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Draughn's stat line wasn't anything to get too excited about for fantasy purposes, but his snap count indicates that he may be handling the workload in Hyde's absence. For fantasy purposes, Draughn's value isn't incredibly high. After the team's bye week, Draughn will face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11, assuming Hyde isn't able to play. Regardless, Draughn is available in virtually every fantasy league out there. If you're in desperate need of a running back in Week 11, Draughn may be one of the only true feature backs available at the moment.
