Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson (ankle) is listed as questionable for the team's Week 14 matchup against the St. Louis Rams. Johnson was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday before being downgraded to a non-participant Friday. Despite the menacing trend, Johnson is fully expected to suit up Sunday.
Calvin Johnson injury update: WR questionable for Lions, fantasy owners
The Detroit Lions’ wide receiver is listed as questionable for Week 14. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: Johnson has been having a slightly subpar season by “Megatron” standards but is still an effective play maker in his ninth season. Through all 12 games played, Johnson is on pace to finish the year with 93 receptions for 1,287 yards and nine touchdowns. While owners may have had slightly higher expectations when they drafted him, he’s still given them very little to complain about. His 13.8 YPC marks a career low but it’s more likely a result of Detroit’s overall regression on offense than the possibility that Johnson has passed his prime. He’ll have a tougher test in the Rams, whose defense allows the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. He remains a WR1 in all formats.
