Every year, there is a running back who was barely on the radar for a roster spot back in August who comes out and makes a difference for fantasy owners. That guy could be Shaun Draughn of the San Francisco 49ers.
Fantasy football start/sit, Week 14: Shaun Draughn with a great matchup
Shaun Draughn is one of the best fantasy waiver pickups of the year. Do you trust a player you didn’t pay up for in crunch time?

Since Carlos Hyde went down, Draughn has been fantastic in PPR leagues in all three weeks. In that time, he scored 17 points in each of those games, and he also had sub-par matchups against the Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks.
This week, he gets one of the best matchups against the Cleveland Browns, who rank as just the seventh-best matchup for PPR backs. Draughn should get close to 20 touches for this game and he really doesn't have much competition either.
Fantasy impact: He's not a complete must-start player because he is Shaun Draughn and his quarterback is Blaine Gabbert, but Draughn is really a nice RB2 this week for just about all formats.
