Oakland Raiders receiver Amari Cooper was rolling earlier this year, but he's cooled off quite a bit lately. On top of that, he gets a horrible matchup this week against the Denver Broncos.
Fantasy Fantasy football start/sit, Week 14: Amari Cooper not the strongest start
Amari Cooper owners probably don’t bench him often in fantasy, but it might be time to do so this week.
The Broncos have been shutting everyone down in the pass game. In fact, they stonewalled two of the best pass offenses, the New England Patriots and San Diego Chargers, and held all of their receivers to just a combined nine catches -- that's every receiver on the roster in two weeks, which is crazy.
They are obviously the toughest matchup in the league for receiver. Plus, Cooper is coming in cold with no touchdowns in any game since Week 9. He also cleared 90 receiving yards just once in that span.
Fantasy impact: Yes, Cooper is WR17 on the season, but this matchup is really bad, and it’s on the road. He’s more of a WR3 with a very low floor.
