Hoyer exited Week 14's loss to the New England Patriots after suffering his second concussion in the span of a month. It is unclear how much time he will miss because of it, but having two concussions so close in proximity may cause him and the Texans to take a conservative approach with his status. T.J. Yates will get the start in a game that could decide the fate of the AFC South.
Fantasy impact: It will be difficult for fantasy owners to trust Yates as a streaming option even against a Colts defense that just got steamrolled by the Jacksonville Jaguars offense. Yates made one start this season against the New York Jets and amassed 229 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but only completed 47 percent of his throws. DeAndre Hopkins managed a 5/118/2 line in that game, and would still be a top-end WR1 for Week 15 even with a backup signal caller.
Yates makes for a middling QB2 for Sunday’s matchups, and fantasy owners who have made it this far in the playoffs likely have better options to turn to for Week 15.
